IHLA's Political Action Committee and Fund

 

Dear IHLA Member:

IHLA, along with its legislative and political action committees, has taken big strides in bringing our association’s involvement to a grass roots level. We are building a grass roots network with the goal of having an IHLA member contact in every legislative district. We have compiled county-by-county economic data for our industry, so that policy makers can quickly see the impact of our industry in their districts. We sponsor an annual day at the Statehouse for our members, and create opportunities for them to build relationships with their legislators.

At the same time, the association is working with several organizations, including Purdue University, the Business and Modernization and Technology Corporation, the Hudson Institute, and Senator Lugar to make sure our message is clear and is delivered to policy-makers, while assisting manufacturers in staying lean, efficient and competitive.

IHLA-PAC is your tool for being politically involved and making sure that our industry is represented at the State House. Your contributions are given directly to those legislators who can determine the conditions under which we do business and manage our resources. Contributions to candidates are made directly by IHLA members and lobbyists, in a personal, hands-on manner. We are the only entity in Indiana registered to lobby on behalf of the forest products industry, and your support is vital.
