Provides monetary support to individuals interested in developing a career in the hardwood industry. Includes industry-specific schools such as NHLA Inspector training.
Promotes increasing public understanding of forestry issues, such as Project Learning Tree and the Natural Resources Teachers Institute.
Supports and offsets IHLA’s five-year, $125,000 pledge to support the Hardwood Tree Improvement and Regeneration Center through membership in the National Science Foundations’ Center for Advanced Forestry Systems.
